What to expect during your scan
Most appointments — OPG, CBCT and digital impressions — take between 5 and 20 minutes from check-in to completion. You'll be asked to remove removable metal items such as earrings, glasses, retainers or dentures before scanning. There's no fasting or special preparation required for any of our imaging services.
During a CBCT or OPG scan, you'll stand or sit still while the scanner arm rotates around your head — it doesn't touch you, and most patients describe it as quick and painless. For a digital impression, our technologist glides a small wand around your teeth; no putty or tray is involved.
Your report is read by a qualified radiologist and delivered to your referring dentist within 24 hours. If you booked directly, we'll notify you once your report has been sent.
